How to Gather Reviews on CarrierSource
Having verified third party reviews from your customers and partners allow you to stand out in a crowded market, build trust, and attract new business. With CarrierSource, gathering reviews is simple, and it can have a major impact on a prospect’s decision to work with you.
Finding Your Review Link
In the Reviews tab of your CarrierSource dashboard, you’ll find a unique review link for your business. This link directs customers and partners to a review form specific to your company, making it easy for them to leave feedback. Haven’t claimed your profile yet? You can do so here if you’re a carrier, or here if you’re a broker.
If you need help finding your link, just email us at support@carriersource.io. Once you have your review link, here are some effective ways to start gathering reviews:
1. Email and Text
The easiest and most effective way to gather reviews is by directly asking your customers, through either email or text. Personalize your outreach as much as possible, tailoring each message to the communication method your customer prefers. Since your customers are taking time out of their busy days, a friendly, personalized approach goes a long way.
Ideally, you should ask for feedback shortly after completing a load to keep the experience fresh in their minds. Generally, requests from people you’ve worked with within the last six months work best for relevant feedback.
To streamline the process, set up automated messages that trigger after certain milestones, like the first load you complete together, the 10th shipment, or other significant benchmarks. Just ensure your request is timely, so you’re top of mind when they leave a review.

2. Email Signature
Including a link to your review form in your email signature is a passive yet effective way to remind customers about leaving feedback. It’s a subtle prompt that appears each time they interact with you via email, keeping your request visible without being pushy. Use calls-to-action like “Share Your Experience” or “We Value Your Feedback” for a gentle nudge.
3. Social Media
Let your social media followers know that you value their feedback! You can post occasionally about the importance of reviews or highlight specific customer feedback, giving shoutouts to anyone who contributes. Also, include your review link in your profile descriptions across major platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to make it easy for customers to write their reviews.
4. Your Website
Adding your review link to your website, especially on frequently visited pages like your homepage or contact page, makes it convenient for customers to leave feedback. If you’re using a chatbot or engagement tool, consider prompting visitors for feedback directly while they’re on your site. This ensures you’re top of mind and helps them leave specific insights in the moment.
5. Other Customer Touchpoints
Don’t limit your review requests to digital interactions! If you’re at an in-person event or meeting with customers, consider asking them to spend a few minutes leaving a review. For virtual gatherings, such as webinars, add your review link at the end as part of a thank-you message. When feedback requests are an integrated part of your customer engagement strategy, it’s easier to consistently gather reviews.
Additional Messaging Tips for Gathering Reviews
If you’re using email or text to request reviews, be sure to make your outreach feel personalized. Avoid overly generic messages like “Dear Customer, please review our business.” Instead, craft messages that make customers feel valued and respected. Here’s an example:
“Hi {FIRSTNAME}, Thank you for choosing us as your partner for {JOB YOU DID} last week! We’re always striving to improve and would love to get your feedback on the experience and how we can make it even better. You can share your thoughts with us here. We’re honored to have worked with you and look forward to serving you again. Please let me know if there’s anything you need. Best, {YOUR NAME}.”
Messaging Angles That Work
Here are four different messaging approaches that can help you resonate with various customer types:
- Pride: Show customers that their feedback is invaluable. Example: “As one of my favorite customers, I want to make sure your opinion is included.”
- Help Others: Let them know they’ll be helping their peers by sharing insights. Example: “Other shippers look for recommendations like yours, and we’d be grateful if you could share your experience.”
- Be Heard: Make it clear that their opinions matter. Example: “We value your insights and would love to hear how we can better serve you.”
- Effect Change: Emphasize how reviews influence real change. Example: “We’re committed to consistent improvement based on customer feedback, and your input will make a difference!”
Different approaches work for different customers, so test a few to see which resonates most. Experimentation is key—you’ll eventually find the messaging style that works best for your business.
Wrapping Up: Keep Asking!
The bottom line? Start asking for reviews consistently! Your customers will appreciate that you value their input, and these reviews will boost your business’s credibility. Building a system that encourages frequent feedback requests will help create a steady flow of reviews and ensure that your company’s profile remains up-to-date and attractive to new business prospects.
